{"id":5255,"date":"2018-05-11T05:53:32","date_gmt":"2018-05-11T05:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.customsbrokerexamprep.com\/?p=5255"},"modified":"2018-07-09T13:38:26","modified_gmt":"2018-07-09T13:38:26","slug":"eligible-become-licensed-customs-broker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.customsbrokerexamprep.com\/demodbsetup\/eligible-become-licensed-customs-broker\/","title":{"rendered":"Who is eligible to become a Licensed Customs Broker?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, to obtain a broker&#8217;s license, an individual must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a citizen of the United States on the date of submission of the license application and not an officer or employee of the United States Government;<\/li>\n<li>Attain the age of 21 prior to the date of submission of the license application;<\/li>\n<li>Be of good moral character; and<\/li>\n<li>Hold a passing score on the broker&#8217;s exam of 75% or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An applicant must be at least 18 years of age on the date of the examination to be eligible to take the broker&#8217;s exam. An applicant has three years after passing the broker&#8217;s examination to apply for a broker&#8217;s license.
